I live on the Sussex coast in Shoreham by Sea.

I am inspired by the ever-changing nature of the sea and the sky that surround me and reflect  this in my original contemporary paintings which are built of many layers of colour and texture to capture the energy and mood of the moment.

I particularly enjoy the dramatic, yet transient effects of atmosphere and light and liberating feeling of  space and tranquility of horizon and shoreline and much of my work represents landscape or seascape.

I work primarily in watercolour and water based media as I feel it has a translucency and vibrancy hard to match. I do however enjoy experimenting with mixed media  techniques that highlight and celebrate texture and rich colour.

I also produce my paintings as limited edition giclee prints and ArtCards.

I have recently stepped down as Chair of the volunteer led community group adurArtcollective after 8 years and am currently co-director of Montague Gallery in Worthing West Sussex. This is a welcoming, bright and spacious gallery in the heart of town displaying vibrant and varied work by talented local artists where my work will also be on display.
